RE: Dodgeball DVD?

In the UK version, Patches appears to have 2 slightly different lines than the US version. UK, "You all are about as useful as a cock flavored lolly pop" US, "You all are about as useful as a poopie flavored lolly pop." UK, "It`s like watching a bunch of retards trying to f*** a doorknob!" US, "It`s like watching a bunch of retards trying to hump a doorknob!

For Sale: Office Space R1 - £5 inc

Anyone ???

Thanks for looking.

RE: Carry On - Special Editions?

No. And they never will so just buy the current version.

RE: frasier, region 2?

R1 will be as good as any R2 release for picture quality.

I will be buying the R1 as the picture will be no different to the R2 release.

Do you want Sledge Hammer on DVD ?

The creator/producer Alan Spencer is trying to swing a release of Sledge Hammer on DVD. It`s early days and at the moment he`s just trying to see if there`s enough demand, or at least convince certain studios that there`s enough demand.

There`s an official website http://www.sledgehammeronline.com
plus a Yahoo group through which various campaigns are being organised.

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/sledgehammer3/

Currently, he`s trying to get as many people as possible to add comments to the shows entry at imdb.com

http://us.imdb.com/Title?0090525

So, if you wanna see a release of this series on DVD join the cause! He`s even in talks at the moment on the possibility of a Sledge Hammer movie!

RE: Anybody else recieve french language cover on their BOURNE from Play?

Or people could get a life and stop moaning about the cover as its not as if anyone spends time staring at their dvd`s.

Only the saddest dvd collectors care about this.

Its pathetic.

RE: For Sale: Back to the Future - R4

Only one I had Im afraid.

RE: For Sale: Back to the Future - R4

Makes no difference to me what I made on it. I just hate people wasting my time when they do not make a sensible bid.

As for my reaction well like anyone else Im not in a good mood all the time.

RE: For Sale: Back to the Future - R4

Iv sold these dvd`s on another site for £16.50 so only a bit less than the price I asked on here.

It was not a stupidly high price to ask as they were in perfect condition with no scratches on them. I had a problem with someone offering a stupidly low price for 3 films that was an insult. I mean 3 films for £10 ?

A sensible offer would of been £16 and seen if I would sell for that and not ask about £10 and frankly make yourself out to be a moron.

So you can stick that up your ass you ****.

RE: Terminator 1 Region 1 - Problem

Thanks for the reply, but as well as a series of still pictures the shots of the people talking are jerky as well.

Not a big problem, just a bit irratating.

Terminator 1 Region 1 - Problem

Iv just got this dvd and when I play any of the extras that you get by accessing the green boxes (ie on the languages screen and go to francais and press right)
all the clips are jerky. The audio is fine but the picture is a series of still images.

The film and the deleted scenes/documentary play fine.

Does anyone else know about this problem with a LG3350E dvd player ?

Any help appreciated. I have psudo pal on.

RE: Panasonic TX32DK1 v Philips PW6006 32

Cheers for all the replys.

RichardH - I will look forward to your posting when the Panny arrives.

Happy - Thanks for the autoswitching information.

Does anyone know how good the panny is as far as reliability ?

Panasonic TX32DK1 v Philips PW6006 32" Widescreen ?

I have seen both these sets for about the same price but does anyone know if one is better than the other ?

I dont think the Philips autoswitches, but then Im not sure if that is a feature that is important ?

Im most interested in NTSC compatability and a flatter screen.

I have the links to sites with information on both sets below if they are any help.

http://www.panasonic.co.uk/nw/products/product.asp?c=TX32DK1

http://www.qed-uk.com/cgi-bin/q?pc=05&i=zyan332ol_X0&bg=169&bp=dk1s&v=9

http://www.qed-uk.com/cgi-bin/q?pc=05&i=zyan332ol_X0&bg=169&bp=6006s&v=9

I have found both sets for a very similar price, so I need some help.

Got a Widescreen - what now ?

Im looking at getting the Philips PW6006 widescreen but I need some advice.

Would i be better off paying £200 more and getting a set with Dolby Pro Logic built in, or is it ok to buy an all in one addon to add Dolby Pro Logic in the future ?

How much are you talking for an all in one soulution, and does anyone have any reccomendations ? Are you better off buying seperate amp, speakers ect........ ? Is that a lot more money ?

This will be my first widescreen (finally been sold on them after seeing a friends set) and Im very new to all this home cinema lark.

Will I be at a disadvantage if wish to have a setup that will make good use of my dvd player and tv if the set it only nicam, and upgrade to pro logic in the future ?

It would mean a longer wait if I get an all in one set.

Any help or reccomendations are most appreciated.

RE: Widescreen TV below £500

Im looking at the Phillips PW6006 from unbeatable as well. Have you seen any reviews of this set anywhere ?

It seems a good deal, as if its like all other philips it has a flat screen, but I need more detail before I buy.

I was looking in currys at tvs and It seems all the 100 tvs has a smeared screen image ?

Is this normal for this type of set.

Please let me know if you have any more info on this set.

Cheers

Help with 32" Widescreen sets

Last night my 4:3 set stopped working and as its an ex rental and the model is about 8 years old Im going to get a new widescreen set. Earlier than I would of liked but.....

So Im looking at either:

1. The Philips 32PW6006 at £502.45 in deliv. from unbeatable.
Or

2. The Hitachi C32W511TN for £480 inc delv from cheapesttv.co.uk.

Has anyone any advice about this, or any other sets in the same price range that you can reccomend.

I am a bit wary of cheapesttv.co.uk, as you are getting a grade A set with only a 90 day warranty. Its a lot of money to blow if it all goes belly up after the warranty runs out.

But, the Hitachi is dolby pro logic and the Phillips is not. Does this make a difference as Iv not got an amp or external speakers so what would be best for the future as I no doubt will buy and amp + speakers in the future ?

Oh, and are the stands any good, as the Hitachi has a stand but the Phillips does not ? Where could you buy a good stand ? Any ideas ?

Any help would be most appreciated as this will be my first widescreen set.
