Tatung TDV-2000

What are users opinions on the Tatung TDV-2000 player. It`s on special offer in Makro and can be hacked to be multi region. Is it worth considering?

Can the JVC 522 SL be hacked to work as multi region or does it have to be chipped. If chipped who could do this for me? I live in West of Scotland.

Any suggestions?
