RE: halo 2 uk release announced

DVD pack will be coming out at the same time as the single disc game in UK - Nov 11th.

Toy Story1 R2 £7.99

OK - the snag is that it`s from Splash, but it`s supposed to be in stock, and you may still be able to get a £2 new email discount from them.

Fellowship of Ring Extended R2 for £16

Looks like a great price from CD-Wow before all the threads start about using vouchers.

Happy Chrimbo to all!

RE: Tarintino Boxset -Cheapest Deal I Could Find!

Search on avforums for the £5 discount to get it for £20 from HMV, plus £1.40 postage.

RE: Nikita - any good?

couldn`t agree more - top film, remember seeing it at the piccies on release, and thne bought it on DVD from France a couple of years ago when first released, along with subway.

also to say, if anyone is thinking about buting Leon, make sure you go for the R1 version, with 24 extra minutes

Looks like the 3 for £14 MGM deal has suddenly become 3 for £16... Each at £5.33 now.

CDWow taken to court...

RE: Band Of Brothers for £15

Just to confirm my tin came today too but i can take no credit - all praise to zone and empire stores

not on a pc right now - god i love these smartphones!

SplashDVD Disney promotion in April - £11.99

Received email flyer. They are recommending people pre-order (of course they would) but some of the prices are good...
Choice of 28 titles.

Dear Customer,

March Specials:

Another great month for DVD Special Offers! Check out the Disney Titles such as Monsters Inc., Toy Story & Toy Story 2 at only £11.99 each in our Disney Special Offer, this offer starts on 31 March but at prices like these we advise you to pre-order as stocks cannot be guaranteed to last.

RE: Band Of Brothers for £15

Over on avforums, it reads that at least two folks have had shipping notification... could be interesting for some after all?

RE: Band Of Brothers for £15

I guess one question is whether anyone will receive it (the real early birds) or whether they had no stock from the beginning (not realistic).

Does it also mean they won`t be taking any orders for the £70 version then?

Game - 3 for £20

...online & instore.

Online ones are bundled, instore aren`t. Managed to get Moulin Rouge as part of the three - not bad, though not bought for me at least.

RE: ....Terminator 2 Ultimate 2disc £6.49

Similarly Kate, is there an update on Basic Instinct 2 disc? If the current site lists the disc at full price with 5-7 days delivery, how come we`re six weeks late with the original orders (ok, ok, I know why if it was down to stocking, but when will you have more?) ta

Great Escape 2 disc £8.50 at Splash DVD

Also have Bridge on River Kwai at £8 - for those into their Christmas classics.

RE: Band Of Brothers for £15

Original poster at avforums has also confirmed the loophole has been closed. Mine didn`t come today...

RE: Band Of Brothers for £15

cheers stitch - I`m hopefully in the same boat - just sitting back in ignorance as I too had no email.

RE: Band Of Brothers for £15

over to the mods to make a call - but it in good faith I am taking it as a real/valid product code, and a real/valid discount for first purchasers, which I am... Not sure what the issue would be against that?

Band Of Brothers for £15

There`s a string over at avforums.com (credit to Zone), showing how to get region 2 BoB for £15, from Empire Stores (not the tin version, but for £15, who cares?). Starts at £30, then enter a provided code for first purchase discount of £15. The string has had (sort of) confirmation that it is the dvd, and not video, but returns are FOC in any case.

RE: Pulp Fiction Double Disc R2 £9.99

ok good spot - didn`t get the maths right - good job I didn`t get any there myself

RE: Pulp Fiction Double Disc R2 £9.99

pulp and sixth sense are both in the 3 for 2 at wh smiths - can get another disc effectively free if you buy both of these at same time

RE: CD-WOW money off link

shame the link doesn`t work anymore - looks like they`ve modified it so only real customers can take advantage

RE: HMV - 2 for £20

Pretty pleased with the French Connection I & II (3-discer) for £15 in the clearout - Play has it for £25.

RE: Terminator 2..£5.99..mis-price? ...be quick

ignore - deleted

RE: What was your first computer ?

Amstrad CPC464, with the built in tape deck.

RE: home cinema systems

sony htk215 still available for the same price, but some etailers are running out of stock - got mine recently from www.hotkit.co.uk. Search for it on Bargain threads

RE: Sony HTK 215 now £209

Two updates here -

UPDATE - having done some more research, I may have to change the audio output on the player - ignore point one and skip to the bargain below

Firstly, I`m obviously doing something wrong, I`m hooked up and the 5.1 works, but I can`t get the DTS tracks to play. I am using an optical cable from my LG3350 into the HTK215, but is there a very simple trick or activation setting I`m missing? I`ve using Scarts to connect DVD to TV, but is there a video out or S-video connection I`m missing. -

Secondly, the SS20 stands can be had for the bargain price of £28.13. the robsons link has them at £23 plus £12 delivery. However, Empire Direct now stock them (£28) and will do a price promise plus 20% of the difference. With £6 postage, you can get them for £28 as above.

RE: Does anyone have any vouchers for CDWOW.COM?

Just ordered something and missed the place to enter the vouchers which I`ve also had lying around - must have been too hasty - where should the code have gone?

RE: Latest Bond theme...

I was surprised about the choice of track, but a mate in the music biz who saw the film this week (big thumbs up) says that it works well when you see the opening sequence - won`t give any spoiliers away!
