Sampo DVE-660

Hi, I`m new to the whole region hack thing.
My question is whether or not the Sampo DVE-660 can read any Region DVD and play on any TV without any hack. I was reading a site and it suggests that is the case. Specifically, I am interested in playing Japanese DVD`s in the States. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks
