Panasonic PV55 Portable DVD Player
Anyone got any experience with or comments on this model?
(Quality, Reliability, MultiRegion, Marcovision, etc)
Comet are selling it for £299 at the moment.
It has built in Dolby Digital 5.1 / DTS decoder.
Is this a good deal for a portable without an LCD screen?
Himage 2290 - Multiregion - and - NTSC playback on a PAL device
I am considering buying a Himage 2290 from Richer Sounds.
Is the £110 multiregion version the same as the £100 factory direct version except that the remote hack has been pre-applied?
I am also concerned that NTSC discs might appear in monochrome on my PAL only TV.
Himage say that NTSC/PAL selection is automatic and suggest that I select "TY SYS" in the "MENU".
Does anyone know if this gets around the monochrome playback problem before I dash out and buy a factory direct model?
Was the flood damaged stock from a particular branch or were there also problems with factory direct stock?
