RE: 16 X 10 X 40 CD-RW drive for £12.98 at Jungle....clearance special

yah boo jungle sucks...

they`ve sent a message to me `cancelling` the order for this that I placed at 9am on Saturday morning.

was worth a go tho!

RE: ezydvd

they`ve always been pretty fast in my opinion - but: i`m still awaiting a disc posted in mid-august, which is either taking leisurely trips around the world or or someones nabbed it.

ezydvd are taking their time to look into it and keep insisting i check with the royal mail (my local sorting office doesn`t have it) and also customs - presumably mount pleasant, where all other discs from them have passed thru (wasn`t over £18 value, porno or horror ;-)

does anyone ever know if you can or how to do this before i dispute the transaction with my ccard co.?

thanks

RE: Play.com - Don`t they accept Visa Electron`s? =(

working for a phone & e-retailer as i do, we`ve found that many visa electron cards (`for electronic use only` cards) now HAVE to be swiped through a pdq terminal and can no longer be `forced` through by just punching the numbers in as we were previously able to. this seems to be upto the individual banks to decide on the implementation of this issue as some can still be punched thru`.

the result is that we (and probably play as well) have just found that without the swipe there`s no way to get the money from your card - hence no transaction, no goods - even though its still possible to get `authorisation` without the card being present.

you`d think they`d tell you this though!

best bet is to get a `solo` card which doesnt suffer from this problem: its more readily accepted everywhere, can be used abroad thru the maestro/cirrus system and usually isn`t a credit scored account. try the halifax ;-)

plays fine on the bush 2004 ;-)
