RE: Playstation 2 DVD Player - Opinions & and a problem

Yes I got that problem too - and the problem is solved with the use of a s-video cable. I found that HMV did quite a good one - and suprisingly cheap too!

Its a bit of swizz on the part of Sony I think - most people use scart and unless you have a fairly modern telly - u might not get s-video sockets.

Whilst on this subject I can heartily recomend getting one of the third party PS2 remotes controls for the DVD.

I got the "Mad Catz" one and it works a treat - apart from the fact I haven`t got round to programing the tele and video for it!

Playstation 2 DVD Player - Opinions & and a problem

Hi All,

New to this forum and just got my first DVD player in the form of a PS2.

Does anyone else here have a PS2 and use it for the DVD capability?

I have encountered 1 or 2 minor problems with it though. The picture quality wasn`t stunning - but the s-video cable seems to have helped.

The other problem I have is that during a film (Lake Placid) the sound and the picture started to go out of sink. This seems only to be rectified by stopping the DVD and starting it from the same point again.

IS this a normal sort of DVD problem - or something that is a PS2 problem? Any ideas on why it happens and how I can fix it?

Any advise would be greatfully received!

Yours,

Aus
