RE: xbox live - adsl modem that works
I agree, however my PC is more than 30 feet away and the cost of the CAT 5 cable plus the NIC was more than the cost of the second router.
xbox live - adsl modem that works
The Binatone ADSL2000 from Argos at £69.99 actualy works with the xbox on BTBroadband. It has an ethernet port and USB. If you already have a USB modem -don`t worry, you can program the modem very easily using the USB port on the binatone - all you need is your BT Broadband username. In the password box enter a single space and then backspace it out (the modem seems to think a password is required and doing this satisfies it) then click on the configure button. It will then take all the settings from your PC and from BT automatically.
Now unplug from the pc and attach to the xbox and set up using the cd supplied with xbox live. A word of warning however - you cant have 2 modems on the line at once so if you are using two like me one has to be unplugged to use the other, unless of course your xbox and pc are near enough to use both the ethernet and usb on the Binatone.
RE: Minato G1 from Tesco
you should set your R1 output to NSTC. Are you using the scart? If this fails take it back to tesco and ask for a replacement.
RE: LG3350E
I am running a sherwood R525 from richersounds. A good box but it does not have a digital stereo input. That said it is cheap and does the job. Good sound and a range of input sources. I am running my Sat receiver, On Digital, record deck and (sorry) Minato Dvd through it without any probs.
