I recently purchased one of these and could not find a Region Hack for it. However I decided to try some other codes for other Toshiba DVD players.

Result:- Success.

To set your Toshiba SD-170E to multi region follow these instructions:-

Power On

Open Tray

Press 9879 0

A Message appears stating that "The Reg.No was changed to: 0

(0 stands for Multiregion, you may press buttons 1 to 6 to choose specific regions)

That`s all, now you can watch every DVD you please...
