Sony 735 Layer Change.
I ve just bought my first two dvds, Gladiator and Braveheart.
I was worried when both of these discs pause for a second and then start.
I thought I had faulty discs or the machine was faulty. I ve just been told that this is the "layer change" ( not sure what this means ) , is this change as noticeable on other machines and do all discs have this?

Why do my discs pause ?.
I ve just bought my first dvds, Gladiator and Braveheart.
Both of these discs pause for a second and then start again. Apart from that they are fine. Do I have faulty discs or a fulty player or is there a reason for them doing this .

Ive been told to use rgb rather than s vid is this correct?.I thought s vid was higher quality.

Thanks for that Steve.I take it from what your saying that using different speaker sizes doesnt make much difference?.
Steve, if I use my Linn speakers would I be able to switch from AV amp to my Linn amp and Linn CD player, in other words connect my amp to the AV amp.

Linn Speakers with Dolby Dig System ?.
I ve got the player and tv next is the sound system.I have a linn hifi system and was wondering if I could use my linn speakers as the front two, it seems a waste not to use them.I ve heard all the speakers must be the same size.Is this correct ?.
Any tips on a good av amp?.I ve about £400 to spend.
Using Sony 735 and FQ75 at present.

The guy in the shop says the stands a nightmare to build.
Had a demo of the set and as you say its a dream.Many thanks again cant wait until it arrives.

Which Sony TV for 735 DVD?
Iam looking for a Sony 32" to go with my 735 DVD.There seems to be a few models available.Which is the best?, Iam going to add an AV amp soon so nothing fancy required in the sound dept. required.
Or is there another set available that beats the Sony?.

SONY DVP735 / REGION 2 SO WHY NTSC PLAYBACK ? CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN
I HAVE JUST ORDERED THE ABOVE MACHINE , YET TO ARRIVE.
I AM NOT THAT BOTHERED ABOUT GETTING REGION 1 DISCS, BUT I HAVE RELATIVES IN THE US SO THIS MAY BE AN OPTION IN THE FUTURE. BUT COULD SOMEONE EXPLAIN TO ME WHAT IS THE POINT OF THE MACHINE BEING ABLE TO PLAYBACK NTSC (REGION 1) WHEN IT IS A REGION 2 MACHINE (PAL).
HAVE I GOT THIS ALL WRONG.
HELP.
