Panasonic DMR-EZ45V can this be made multi region?

I am considering buying this but only want it if I can make it multi region as I have a lot of foreign dvd`s. I am a student and therefore cant really afford to take it to Panasonic as they will probably charge an arm and a leg. Please advise. Thanks x
