RE: daisy chaining problem

I have a TV with a single scart socket, a DVD player with a single scart socket, Sky Digibox (2 scarts) and a video (2 scarts). Have them all conected together fine. Here is how I have done it.

1. The video is the only device connected to the TV via video scart 1.
2. The Sky box connects to the other video scart which allows me to record from sky :-)
3. The dvd player plugs into the other scart socket on the sky box.

If you do this make sure you have the RGB option set in picture settings on the sky box.

This solution works well even with the video on stand by.

Hope this helps.

John.

Best buy for under £200?

Not fussed about region 1. Want 2 scart sockets. Want good quality picture and sound and support for Dolby Digital and DTS. Any suggestions?

I currently have an Oritron 600 (£99) and want to spend a bit more on a slightly better quality machine and hope paying around £200 will do this.

RE: Warping at top of picture when playing region1?

My TV does not appear to be off centre, just the warping at the top. What I find strange is this problem is hardly mentioned in this forum and I am worried that this could be a fault in my TV (which I have only had for only 2 weeks). Most of the issues with region 1in the UK are to do with the output appearing in black and white. As mentioned before below the warping section at the top (about 2 inches) the picture is perfect.

So if anyone out there thinks this could be a fault in my TV please let me know.

Thanks.

Warping at top of picture when playing region1?

Great picture, great sound just this minor problem. Is this the TV or DVD? Although it is budget kit it is all new and just a couple of weeks old.

Bush WS7671 TV
Oritron 600 DVD

TV handles RGB input from Sky Digital fine.

Thanks.

TV or DVD problem playing region 1? (Bush/Oritron 600)

I am using the region 1 hack for my Oritron DVD 600 player connected to a Bush WS7671 TV. Using a full scart lead connected directly to scart1 on the TV the picture and sound is great. However, the top inch or so of the screen contains a distorted picture. Not too bad. A sort of sine wave type effect. Any ideas what this could be.

Thanks.
