Partmaster say remote is also compatible with matsui VDVD 500. try that hack on page 41 in hacks section. I have not tried it myself yet as my machine is second hand and has no remote

according to the Dixons group Partmaster website the replacement remote control is also compatible with the matsui VDVD 500 which is on page 41 of the hacks section. I havent tried this hack yet as I still need a remote for my unit.

same remote suggests similar programming so this hack may well work. As with all dvd hacks use it at your own risk
