The Pic on the Argos website shows the standard edition of COD 2 but in the shop it is the Game of the Year Edition. I bought one and there were 3 behind the counter all the same!

No, the speed camera detection is not really a "detector" per se.(like the old Snooper systems) It is actually a database of speed camera locations loaded into the memory then using GPS to pinpoint your position in relation to a forthcoming speed camera.Therefore, as you approach one, the unit will flash & beep as a warning. This database is usually updated frequently (to add or take away speed camera locations)
So, wether or not the forthcoming camera is functioning is unknown. The device is upgradeable on line (the speed camera database is definately upgradeable as Evesham want £30 a year off you after the 6 month fre updates expires) but am not sure about the maps of other countries although in theory it is.
