That would be the button at the top right of the thread that says `Visit Auction` then :D
Auction: Toshiba 40WH08B 40 inch Rear Projection TV No Reserve
[+P]£10.00[-P][+D]10-Jul-06 16:37:37 BST[-D][+I]140005533370[-I]This is a 3 day auction purely because this has to go come what may....
OK, what can I say about this? First off, take a look here at Home Cinema Choice`s reviews...

When new, these were going for around £2000-£2500, and now you can get one for as little as 10 quid! Yep, NO RESERVE, No Silly Starting Price - just a couple of things you need to know.
First off - this is Buyer Collects Only - you`ll need a large car, or medium-sized van to transport it.
Secondly, the TV has a couple of blemishes you should know about. The 1st of these is on the screen - it has a small crack - it is not visible at all when the TV is off, and barely noticable when it is on. Basically if viewing the TV from off centre, then you may see what looks like a couple of different coloured dots every now and then. Mostly you will not even notice, but thought I`d better tell you.....you know, just in case you weren`t satisfied with a 40" tele that cost you all of £10!! (possibly)
The second blemish is shown in one of the photos, it is basically a small crack at the rear of the top-left cornere of the screen. It is cosmetic only and doesn`t affect the TV at all.
OK, the bad stuff is out of the way, so let me tell you all the good stuff..... Picture quality is stunning and the only reason we`re getting rid of this is thanks to the Fenwick Sale, where we`ve finally succumbed to the joys? of plasma.
The TV has 3, that`s 3, Scart sockets. The 1st of which can accept RGB signals (for better picture quality) and the other 2 take S-Video.
There are also Component Video inputs, for the very best picture quality.
The TV has Built-In Dolby Digital decoding, and, with the addition of surround speakers (not included, but a tenner will get a pair from Richer Sounds or similar) is all you need for the total Home Cinema experience! The feed from your DVD or Skybox can be either optical or co-ax cable, the TV accepts both.
I put wheels on the bottom of the TV to make it easier to move around - a couple of minutes with a screwdriver will have these off if you want to return the tele to standard appearance.
Nearly forgot, Manuals and Remote are included (the remote even has batteries in it - bargain!)
Payment via PayPal, or Cash On Collection.
Right, that`s about it - Oh yes, Hexham is about 15 miles west of Newcastle upon Tyne - in case you were wondering!
RE: TOCA Race Driver 2 (PSP) - £13.97
And if you spend more than £15 you can use the code XXHUHY to get another Fiver off!
I just bought 2 copies - one for me - and one for a friends lad who doesn`t know he`s getting a PSP for Chrimbo yet! They`re coming over for Xmas so we`ll be able to play head to head from Day 1!
£24.93 for the pair inc. delivery - a real bargain!

Phil
RE: Sandisk 1GB Gaming Memory Stick PRO Duo £58.69
Hi,
I have both a PSP and a K750i. The 1GB Sandisk Duo memory I have in the PSP works a treat. I have used SanDisk products before and never had a problem.
Cheers,
Phil

...don`t forget you`ll need some headphones as they don`t come with any - useful in the car...
I`ve just bought an FM transmitter for the wifes car - this way I can pipe the sound through the car stereo via the radio - bought it on eBay. Don`t need it for my car as the stereo has an AUX input built in.
Just an idea...

RE: Technosonic DTS2004
Hi Keith,
It does play DVD-Rs - not sure about VCDs though as I haven`t got any. Although it does play MP3 discs and creates slideshows from discs full of jpegs - I can`t imagine it NOT playing VCDs.
Cheers,
Phil

That usually does the trick or a bottle of wine with the film
Better Not! She`s only ever drunk 3 bottles of wine. We got married after the first, and the kids arrived 9 months after 2 & 3 respectively!! ;)
Pretty potent stuff...wine!! :p

p.s. Costco C & C had a twin centurion 7 inch reduced from £170 to £99.....
Oooof! Aaaargh! (Now picking myself off the floor having been kicked in the groin...)
Still, can console myself that the saving was greater with the Technosonic, from £299 - £179. (The wife should be happy, as that`s woman`s logic - look how much I`ve saved you dear - by spending £180, I`ve saved you £120!!! :/ Anyone got a spare tin-hat before she sees this? :o :D )

RE: Technosonics In Car DVD System
Good spot Stu - it is of course not our car, but the swimming pool area of our ocean going yacht! We don`t actually own a car small enough for these screens to be visible whilst actually seated - the Maybach has already been fitted with a 50" Plasma thingy ;)
One was merely trying to help out the poorer folk on the web that might need to keep their brats entertained on a long journey - whereas that`s what we pay Helga her minimum wage for! Actually, I can`t see why we pay her at all - she only shares the attic quarters with 3 other domestics; our friends, the Poncenby-Smythes, have all twenty-two of their domestics living in the boiler house - saves on Winter fuel bills you see - I think the country`s going soft - I blame this Bliar fellow.....What!! :D
Personally I bought one of these PSP thingys in Toronto the other day. V Good, but going to be overpriced (as usual) in the UK. Still, allows me to play FIFA on it and magically the `Toon can beat anyone! (Thrashed Spurs 6-0 the other evening!) Not much good in the car as I have to drive the darn thing (when Parker`s on his day off you understand), but for commuting up and down to London and waiting in Airport lounges, it`s just the thing!

Phil

Technosonics In Car DVD System
OK, I appreciate that others here have asked about various in-car DVD systems and one or two have already mentioned this system from Toys`R Us.
The system is the Technosonics DTS2004, it incorporates two slimline 7inch screens, power adaptors for both car and home and is hackable!!
The fact that they are easily hackable really swings it for me as it is quite a good looking setup compared to some and very reasonably priced at less than £180.
The hack (which I`ve just posted on the hack forum) was for a different Technosonics machine, but works with this system.
1. Use Remote - with no disc in drive
2. Press `Setup`
3. Press `Right Arrow` 3 times
4. Press `9 6 5 3`
5. Use `Up/Down` arrows to select region - 0 being multi region
6. Enjoy!!
Here`s a link to a picture of the setup (can`t post images directly yet) The screen on the left is in it`s holder that would normally attach to the headrest. The `foot` can be angled so that the screen can `sit` on a surface unaided - as seen by the screen on the floor.
I can whole heartedly recommend this system - and no I don`t work for Toy`s R Us - just about to go on a long journey with the kids!
ATB,
Phil

Technosonics DTS2004 In Car Player - Hack Here!!!
OK, I`ve just joined the forum as I`ve been lurking for a while now - but couldn`t resist sharing this with you. :D
I couldn`t find any hacks for this machine, but I did find a few Technosonics hacks in general around the web. And one of them works!! Yippee!!
1. Use the remote, with no disc in the machine.
2. Press `Setup`
3. Press `Right Arrow` three times
4. Press 9 6 5 3
5. Use the `Up` and `Down` arrows to select the region of your choice - 0 being region free.
6. Enjoy!!
I`m going to post on the Bargain Bucket forum as well, as this system is `Great Value` at £180 from Toys R Us. Particularly as it is now region free - Oh, yes, it plays DVD-R discs as well.
Since I can`t post images until the account is 30 days old - you can click here to see a picture of the system
Cheers All
Phil
