Does Yamada 8400X support dual-layer discs (record and/or playback)

I`ve been recommened a Yamada 8400X on this site as I need DVD playback/record + DivX & Xvid.

It seems like the machine for me but I would like to know if it supports [mainly playback of] dual-layer DVDs.

Recommendation for DivX DVD Recorder

Hi all,

I`m new to this forum and was hoping to get some recommendations for a new DVD player - there`s so much info on the web it`s difficult to know where to start. I`m looking for the following features (in order of importance to me.)

[list] [*] Multi-Region
[*] DVD Recorder function (DVD+R/RW or DVD-R/RW - which is better?)
[*] The ability to play DivX files from a DVD [/list]

Any help or advice you could offer would be greatly appreciated.
