RE: Whats yer Best Movie Scene Ever?

The opening scene from the Rock. Everything just combines to make it a really chilling and moving bit of film. The scene in the middle when there is a big standoff between 2 lots of Marines is also amazing. In fact the whole damn movie is the best!

RE: LG 3350 with no Macrovision and maybe others?

Apologies for what I said. It appears not too have worked. I have one of those little TV/Vid combis and previously I couldn`t even use the DVD because of the macrovision. The RF Modulator works fine for playback but unfortunately as I have just found out it doesn`t work during the recording. I will try with a VCR this weekednd sometime and post the result.

PS. You can change the freqs. the modulator outputs. It is still quite a useful tool though!

Sorry.

Checked with a VCR and that didn`t work either.

RE: Lock, Stock ... Which version ?

I got the directors cut for £10 at HMV. Thats all I got to say about that.

LG 3350 with no Macrovision and maybe others?

I don`t know whether I was missing something but basically the sole reason for wanting to disable macrovision is to record to video, yeh? Well if your recording to video then you don`t need to be fussed about amazing quality as it will still be VHS in the end anyway, so why not use an RF Modulator.

I picked one up the other day albeit a slightly expensive one from Maplins, (Keene Electronics RF Modulator - £34.99), and it works fine with the LG and probably would others. The picture is actually impressively crisp, although you expect that from such an awesome player. It also worked well on my older TV that has nothing but Coaxial Aerial input, and hand tuning!

Maplins offer another one at £13 I think although it is a premade unbadged sort of thing so their is no guarantee, but it could be a cheap alternative.

Anyway I`m sure some of you clever lot could make your own!

RE: Is a Dabs.com LG3350 multi region hackable.

IT Troll suggests it is using the details on his site at

members.tripod.co.uk/ittroll/hack.htm

I`ve tried it on mine from Dabs and the CODE symbol comes up but I don`t have any other region discs to try.

If it works please reply.

RE: LG 3350

IT Troll has a website about the player and thus far has not found a macrovision hack.

The player, however is awesome I agree. Particularly good MP3 playback too.

Should you be lucky enough to find a way of disabling it please post it.

Cheers!

LG 3350 playing VCDs?

I know it says they don`t play them, but has anybody found a way of doing it. I`ve been thinking about converting discs to an mp2 format as the players has a built in Mpeg decoder, but haven`t had a chance yet. Do you think this`ll work?

What about a mod chip or hack for it?
