Here is a region free hack for a SCOTT model# DVX i960BK DVD player.
1. Turn on player.
2. Open tray
3. type 9735 on the remote control, region code sub- menu appears.
4 Select : region 0
5 close tray .
Enjoy a region free DVD player.
Tested with region 2 and 4. No issues.

Remote hack for Mustek 407 that works
The Mustek PL407 ( portable DVD/DVB TV unit)
can be easily made multi-region (region free) using the remote control as below:
1. Turn On Player - Close Door (With No Disk)
2. Press "Setup" -"Next" - "Previous" - "Next" - "Previous"
3. The current region code will be displayed on the screen (2 for Europe in my case)
4. Using "Left" & "Right" buttons to change the code you want (255 for Region Free)
5. Press "Setup" - "Setup" again -"Play"
I can confim that it works fine:
(Same hack as Mustek 408 portable unit)

How to convert a LG RC6800 to a Multi region using the remote.
1.
Switch on unit
2.
Press- Setup on the remote
3.
Select the Lock option from the on screen setup menu
4.
Press Lock on the remote unit ( under slide cover)
5.
Press 0 x 7 times on the remote keypad
6.
A message appears stating the unit is now Code free on the screen
7.
Press Enter on the remote.
8.
Close Setup menu and switch unit off.
9.
Switch on and enjoy Multi-region DVD playing on your LG RC6800.
No observed problems/issues to date, works fine.

LG RC6800 Multi region hack search
Does anyone have a hack for changing a LG RC6800 to a Multi region player.
This is a DVD Recorder plus VCR Comination unit.
Is it possible to change the region2 to Multi region and can it be done using the remote?
