External hard drive help

Probably a simple answer here but I have a USB external HD I recently purchased, I plug the usb bits in and the light comes on but then nothing happens? lol, what do I do next?

hehe, I`ve just been lazy in buying storage, I meant to get some for my vids that are behind the dvds too ages ago but havent, I`ll wait until I move out now to sort it.

On this weeks episode they had a song playing and I wondered if anyone knew what song it was? I can`t remember much of the lyrics but it was an accoustic song and the lyrics mentioned `Steve MqQueen` and `Peggy Sue`, I`ve tried searching Google but nothing.

On E4 (Wednesday), anyway, I missed it but this was the preview

Couple of freeview queries

1 - I got told E4+ is free to freeview viewers? Is this true and if so how do I get it?

2 - The ITV screen on freeview is weird, the right hand side doesnt show so for example if you`re watching the footy and someone takes a corner from that side you dont actually see it, it`s only on this channel it happens, how do I adjust that?

I have ran spyware/virus scans/rebooted modem but its still very slow, anyone give me anything else I should do pls? The `data` light on the modem keeps flashing a lot?

Broadband, its really bad here, been on tech support for last 50 mins waiting for an answer, so others must be having probs too./

Having speed probs today? I have NEVER known it to be so bad for me today, less then 1kb/sec download speed, pages taking AGES to load, some sites not even loading at all :(

The latest Family Guy episode is great, the JFK junior joke at the start was so tasteless but couldn`t help but laugh at Stewie saying it.

Well, half rant, but I am curious what others thought about it, maybe I am being bit harsh? Just seemed like a stupid way to end that storyline.

Once I have finished all the episodes I will go through some online guide or something too.

So I am in season 7 now and just watched the episode `Closure` and have to say I thought it was a rubbish way to end the myth of his sister and what happened to her and wondered what others thought?

Also, if this Starlight rubbish takes the kids before they are gonna get a gruesome death or whatever why didn`t it save all the other kids buried or any kid for that matter?

Also, I didn`t quite understand the letters bit in the previous episode where the mother of Amber Lynn was writing the letter and didn`t know it, same goes for the one in prison, that was never really explained?

Anyway, very disapointed about the way that was all dealt with after 7 seasons :(

I don`t get it, why would it devalue the event having one of the biggest music artists of all time performing? He`s been found innocent on a trial that was a farce anyway, get over it.

The trial was a farce, now I am not saying he is or isn`t guilty, I just don`t know how far he would go, all I will say for sure is that he is one weird bastard, but this trial from the mother and son who are PROVEN liars under oath and the eveidence which was dodgy at best was never gonna convict him, everything about it stunk.
