RE: Amazing Wharfedale 750 Deal

Hi Harley,

I bought mine from Tescos in Barnsley (not that far down the M1 for you).

I had been waiting for an LG 3350 on order from Dabs since 10th Jan and purchased the 750s while the LG arrived.

I am so pleased with the image quality and that it plays MP3s, audio discs are great (its uses the same chip as Arcam), Only quibble is that it doesnt have the 5.1 decoder built in. Although it will play VCD that the LG will not.

So today I cancel my Dabs order. The 750s is Brill!!!

RE: Please Mr. Dabs, are we nearly there yet???

For all you people waiting for the LG3350

Since we dont know when Dabs will get any stock any I have been acquiring DVD since Xmas, I decided to buy one of the Warefdale 750s which Tesco are selling SALE price £99 (were £179).

Plays all the Films, Gladiator disc 2, Hack was easy, good colours, picture and plays MP3 (seems to read all tracks and doesnt sort albums but that may be a burn problem).

Question Should I keep this and forget about the LG3350?

RE: Please Mr. Dabs, are we nearly there yet???

Things have got worse,

Just received this email from Dabs

We are writing to advise that estimated delivery dates on the
products you have ordered that are listed below have changed:

Manufacturer : LGAV
Product : DVD3350e Silver inc Mp3
Quicklinx : Q5CNQ
Previous : Supplier not shipped - No new date
Now : In Constraint

These are new dates supplied to us by the manufacturer or their franchised
wholesaler. Delays tend to happen for the following reasons

* Preferred allocation to large PC manufacturers
* Preferred allocation to the USA
* Technical problems discovered in the product
* Changeover period for product revisions
* Local factory problems
* International shipping delays

As a general rule but not always, if the product is out of stock with us,
it will be also out of stock with other UK dealers. If a product is marked
as `in constraint` this means it is very scarce, and we have no reliable
delivery date for the product. If a product is marked as obsolete, then we
have just been informed by the manufacturer that we can no longer buy this
product. (It may have been superseded by another product)

If you are prepared to wait, no further action is necessary. If you wish
to cancel or amend any line of your order, you can do so online by
clicking on the link below for which you will need your login email and
password

RE: Please Mr. Dabs, are we nearly there yet???

s***!

DABS IS NOW SAYING 3-4 WEEKS ON THE SITE.

ANYONE KNOW OF ANY GOOD PLAYERS WHICH ARE AVAILABLE SUB £200?

SURLEY THERE IS A BETTER PLAYER NOW!

RE: Please Mr. Dabs, are we nearly there yet???

I am getting p***** with DABS.

Phoned last week told that 80 players were due in.

Today I hoped to see if my order was complete (from 10 Jan) but when I spoke on the phone I was told by their Internet sales that there had been no delivery...... This is strage since some of you guys have obviously been issued with players...I pointed this out and was told players were received last week.

Waited to speak to customer service they could not help, transfered back to Internet orders.... Now told 12 players arrived this morning and have been issued......

I wish these people were trained to at least lie consistently.....

Julie says 73 back orders 85 on order (12 included?) can`t say when next batch is expected.

Apparently we can complain to notrehtaM[at]moc.sbad

Why not show our support?

RE: To Jimbo and ITTol

hi Jimbo,

Seriously how do we go on ordering a LG3350 with this enabled, can you let us have details. EG DO WE NEED TO CANCEL OUR DABS ORDERS!. or will you supply a kit/Hack.

Regarding the Macrovision presumably an in line device should remove this do you have any recomendations?

To Jimbo and ITTol

Since all us prospective LG3350 owners will have to wait at least another 3 weeks before we get our players.

Just to let you know that I hold both of you responsible for making this player (and the aiwa 370) so popular that the supply has dried up.

To make it up to us I think you should sort out the macrovision and VCD problems. At least then we will know that the player is worth the wait.

Thanks for the advice

MD

RE: dabs.com & LG 3350e

I have just checked the web site it now says 6 available in 2-3 days.
So I phoned to see if my order will be dispatched. I was told that they will not be getting any more in stock until 1st Feb.

This is pants.......I can buy a PS2 now (and they were selling at £1000+ just before Christmas.

Come on LG pull the finger out.

RE: Is a Dabs.com LG3350 multi region hackable.

Hi how do you get to this site members.tripod.co.uk/ittroll/hack.htm
as I would like to buy one of the DABs LG3350 if it can do multiregional.

Also has anyone looked at the LG site, the software download area is blank. Does this mean that the player can not be upgraded?

Thanks MD
