well,

managed to buy one of these in newcastle yesterday before the stock in every store in the north east disappeared. Got to say for the money (£399) its excellent ... Looks a bit bigger than I was expecting !

Screen is basically what you`d expect from LCD, but the connectivity is excellent. RF / 2 scarts / phonos and a pc connector. I`m using it on my Pc and its pretty good. I had a small problem with the drivers (nvidia) but this was solved by updating (twice) and changing the screen refresh rate to 60hz. It works fine in the full 1280x768 mode. I`ve tried divx stuff as well as dvd and been quite impressed

Now all i need is a multiregion hack ... erm ... anyone ? :B

I`ve got a zodac too ... its brilliant .. dont use my palm tungsten c anymore

however ... its now £100 @ pcworld and all the accessories / games are marked around a fiver, but when it scans in at the till, they`re a lot less. On thursday i got a set of 3 stylus` and a leather case for £3.50, the lot.

Music Zone is selling various seasons of farscape (and mutant x, andromeda)

they`re in the double box boxsets, 5 of which make a full season priced at £3.97
or around £20 a season if you can get them all.

I bought all the original r2 editions of farscape for £17.99 a double when they originally
came out, so at less than 4 knicker they`re a steal.

RE: Water Margin Season One £19.28 delivered

I know it says 285 mins, but the cover is identical to volume one of the 6 volume sets, the proper SEASON 1 cover is different mainly at the bottom.

The pic they show plainly shows 2 lines at the bottom which is 2 episodes. I`d buy this immediately if it was the 6 disk set, but it just doesnt look right. The normal price per volume un-discounted is £19 elsewhere - coincidence ?

The cheapest I`ve seen it is amazon @ £37.

All I can say is get it bought, or ring them up - and tell us if its the full Season .... If so its a brilliant spot.

I think you`ll find that the disks are volume 1 and volume 2 of season 1 , not season 1 and 2 ... the season 1 boxset is quite a few disks ...

WH Smith are selling off lots of cheap tv based DVD boxsets, in-store seems cheaper than online. They`re sticking half marked price stickers on them, here`s some examples :

what happened with the gamecubes on the morning of the order was that I made a mess of it. Tried to order 2 separately, made a mess of both, e-mailed them to cancel, and reordered correctly ...

like most peeps, my final two proper orders were cancelled etc. however after reading the watchdog posts, I thought i`d complain to tesco about my order and then on to watchdog .... look at this copy of what tesco sent:
