RE: Help needed I need to buy a AV system with limited budget any ideas ?

I bought a Creative DTT3500 from jungle for £189 and have been very impressed with it. Haven`t heard the equvalent Yamaha system but I`ve heard that it`s got no remote. The Creative does Dolby Digital and has a good output, sound and build quality. It`s plugged into my 750s and I`ve had no probs with it, for the price and quality I`d give it a 5 out of 5.

RE: Wharfedale 750s

Cheers,

I`ve been looking at the Video logic stuff, but it will have to be a new year investment now.

RE: Wharfedale 750s

It`s a normal Denon Stereo Amp.

RE: Wharfedale 750s

Thanks for that, I`m using a Dennon Hi-Fi would it be worthwhile hanging two more speakers of it using DTS ?

Wharfedale 750s

How do I get a surround sound setup ? I`ve currently got it plugged through my Hifi. Can I just plug in satelite speakers or do I need to get a DTS amp to use the DTS capability ?

Any help appreciated.

RE: Wharfedale big ass TV any good?

Had trouble with mine and they are limited, or promotional as Tesco`s call them. If you get a problem with it don`t expect an easy swap out, I had a refund in the end and bought a Thomson.

Be Careful

I bought the Warfedale CTV 850, didn`t look bad for a cheap set, the tuner wasn`t brilliant but it worked. When it had finished and I had finished swaping the channels around the picture wasn`t too bad either. The sound was ok, it got a little tinny and the speakers rattled a bit at higher levels. The set is cheap though, I`m not sure if it`s made by the same company that make the DVD player I`ve just heard that they are Korean. I had the set for 2 weeks and after it had been on for about 5 mins the tube started making a high pitched screech. Anyway to cut a long story short, these sets are Wharfedale badged, not made by Wharfedale, but for a couple of hundred quid you`d expect that. They are only sold through Tesco`s,who don`t know anything about them, I found this out after speaking to many customer service reps and they are promotional only. When they sell out, they`re gone. Try taking one back to the shop and getting it changed when your local store has sold out. Tesco can`t even tell you where in the country you can get one, neither can Wharfedale. I spoke to a guy at Wharefdale who said that they hadn`t seen the 890 yet and had only recieved an email about them. So I wasn`t too confident about this set either. If Wharfedale themselves don`t know about them then who does ? Don`t get me wrong, it was good while it lasted, just be lucky !
