RE: Panasonic DMR-EX95V
Hi
Yes you can, I recorded a film for a friend and watched it afterwards putting chapters where I thought was a good break, also at the start and end of adverts (film was on ITV). All I did then was go into the HDD, select the film and show chapters, each one is shown as a picture so I deleted the advert chapters and burnt it to disc. The chapters now allow him to fastforward through the film at will. It also does playlists but I haven`t had time to play with them yet but I would guess it would allow me to make a chapter menu for scene selection just like a proper DVD.
Hope this helps.
Only problem I have had so far with it is a error code EU80 has come up about 3 times before Xmas but as Panansonic said it would need to be returned I didn`t bother as I didn`t want to lose it over xmas, it`s not done it since so I think I frighten it! ha ha
Have to say though pleased as punch with it, even the wife is impressed!
Cheers
RE: Panasonic DMR-EX95V
Well I`ve spent me money, got it from Digital Direct for £439 which is the lowerest price I`ve seen anywhere apart from you all who got it from QVC but it was never on when I watched. Have to say it`s the bee`s knee`s so far, not played with it much yet but I`m well pleased. I`ve not noticed any humming sounds from it though, shame it can`t record to the harddrive 2 programs at once when it can play and record at the same time.
going by the connection diagram, I`ve found I can`t watch my cable box if I`m recording (from the freeview that is), so I`ve had to put an additional scart between the cable box and the TV.
RE: Cyberhome LDV710 Clones.
The screen blanking is to do with the resistor still, there`s not enough solder contact on one end so the joint breaks.
As I don`t know the resistor size I have taken it out and shorted out the track, all seem`s to work ok at the moment the only noticeable thing is some faint diagonal line interference on the screen but this is liveable.
If it dies I`ll put it up for spare parts ha ha
RE: Wharfdale WDP-1210
Ok I tried the region hacks and the 81328 doesn`t do anything but the 3597 works a treat.
Update on the buttons, I should have said mine has a duel button, for setup when no disk and repeat off with a disk is in. the menu button does nothing when there`s no disk and takes a movie back to its main menu when there is a disk (obviously) :D
Panasonic DMR-EX95V
Has anyone seen or got one of these as I`m thinking of getting one but £600 is a bit steep at the moment.
Any thoughts or problems would be helpful
RE: Cyberhome LDV710 Clones.
Bit of an update on my cyberhome DLV 710
The left handside hinge has broken due to the pins seizing up, on taking the cover off the right hand hinge, a small resistor broke away from the flying lead that runs the TFT screen this happen because the resistor had got hot and started to melt into the plastic cover.
It`s an absolute pig to solder the resistor back on but without it the screen looks blank, possibly why Dixons changed players as they had a lot of screen failures returned.
The left hinge won`t glue very well so took screen apart and released a bit of the pressure on the hinge pins (too much as it happens but its liveable) then bolted the pin throught the centre casing using some made up spacers (helps being an engineer).
All works ok now but maybe because of the resistor problem or battery age, the battery goes to the blank screen at just under the 70% full mark.
Undecided what to do with it now as bought a cheaper Wharfdale WDP 1210 which has a bigger screen but not so well built or refined as the cyberhome. It`s a shame the cyberhome support is basically non-exsistant.

Hi Vincent0
The post is on the end of a thread that started way back in 2003 but I couldn`t track it down last night, but found it on my home computer so here`s the title "Cyberhome LDV710 rebadged as MP Man DVL7" Its all about the cyberhome player not the Wharfdale. Just for info I got the Wharfdale from Argos for £129.99 in the latest sale it`s normally £149.99. Not had time to try the region hack but when I do I`ll post the results.

RE: Wharfdale WDP-1210 multiregion hack
I got mine last week from Argos, if you go to the Wharfdale site they say it is specially made for Argos only. I`ll try the Multiregion hack and let you know.
My remote has the 2 volume control buttons right at the bottom in the middle and if you press the menu button when no disk is in the player the setup menu will appear. if a disk is in the movie menu comes up if I remember rightly. Bought this to replace my broken Cyberhome L710 player ( see posting for info), its a bit basic in its commands and facilities but then it was half the price and its a 10" screen instead of 7".
RE: DVD 5320 Yamada
Have you try to contact UMAX at troppus[at]ku.oc.xamu as they are the people who do Yamada?
RE: Cyberhome LDV710 Clones.
Sent an email to the Cyberhome site and they don`t do the bigger battery in europe yet but he did say, and I quote "the Spare Battey CH-ACL45 and the Opponent Video Cable is not available at the moment in Europe.
Please try to contact us in a few weeks again."
so it looks like they are on their way! :D

RE: Cyberhome LDV710 rebadged as MP Man DVL7
I just bought the Cyberhome CH-LV 710 from WHS for £269 and it comes with a proper case made by the same firm, part No CH-ACB 01. Its not something WHS stock locally but someone ordered it 2 or 3 monthes ago but could not wait for it to come in. It was sitting in their office! ( Thats the whole thing not just the case) :D
Called into Dixsons and they said they don`t stock the MP Man any more as they had some returns because of the display stopped working, the connection to it was the problem I think he said. They now stock a Grundig instead. :(
Just tried a DVD in it and it locks the picture up for a few seconds at a time , is this normal? It was happening in the ads for other DVDs so not too worried. The other thing I am wondering is I want to show my Jpeg pictures but they are too pixcelated/blocky and only show at 160 x120 resolution but the pictures are far better quality than that!
Any ideas anyone or am I missing something :/ (now sorted picture problem, my fault, not looking at right file`s) :D
My manual says it covers all disk formats apart from DVD-RAM
Well pleased with it :D :D :D only iffy headphones to sort out.
