RE: Sky brand 32" tv @£499 (+ DELIVERY £25?)

How do you get £25 delivery? says on the site £100

What TV / League Table
After non delivery in the Skybuy Lottery I am in the market for a 32" widescreen, flat tv. After looking around the usual stores i.e. Currys, Comet, Powerhouse etc I am very confused at all the different tv`s for sale. Every manufacturer seems to have loads of different models and most look the same to me. It would be very helpful for people like me to have some sort of league table of the best to the worst of manufacturers or best to worst of models to get some idea of quality etc. If anyone knows of a link to this type of site please post it for all us thickies.

RE: Very cheap TV`s going fast
Galaxy,
Did you have to send the original recipt, if so did they send it back as you would
need it if anything should go wrong with your goods. How long did it take from sending
recipt off to receiving compensation?
Thanks
Nick

RE: Very cheap TV`s going fast
Listen up everyone,
Just come off the phone to Cheryl French (Customer Service Manager) who informs me that Skybuy have no more 32" tv`s in stock and will not be getting any more apart from their own brand. :/ This is from the horses mouth and she is going to put it in writing to me (lol). I think they might have some in stock when all the refused deliveries are returned, failing that it could be ebay for me.
So its SKYGOODBYE

RE: Very cheap TV`s going fast
The Sharp 32" package is not available even though it appeared on Skybuy website
over the course of this afternoon. I rang to order again and was told they cant find it on their system. As has been stated on this forum before, it is easy to advertise things at big bargain prices if you dont have any to sell.

RE: Very cheap TV`s going fast
The whole SKYBUY purchase experience is very much a lottery it seems.
Have a look here

This is what some can expect 5 or 6 weeks down the road.

RE: Very cheap TV`s going fast
Just had a conversation with skybuy and it appears my 32" sharp package is not going to be delivered after all (no stock). They cant offer me an alternative 32" as thet dont have any 32" TVs at all so dont bother ordering one from the website as they tell me it will say out of stock when you go to the checkout.
I dont understand how they can take my money and then 3 weeks later cant sell me the product I have paid for. Presumably by taking payment they have entered into a contract, any legal eagles out there?

RE: Very cheap TV`s going fast
They told me they take the money when the order is at the final stage and sent to the courier. I am still waiting for my Sharp 32 package and the money was taken 20-4-04.
If I look at the order status on their site it says order sent, delivery 16/4/04

Showaddy,
Did they take the money from your credit card/bank?
