RE: Recordable DVD or Not Recordable DVD - That is the Question.....
Hi
have been using the pioneer 3100 for a few weeks now and it is great - it does everything i was looking for. had a problem with blue bulkpaq drd-rw discs - bought 25 of them and could only get 12 to work. However i have bought very cheap dvd-r (25p each) and they work fine. Havent tried any other dvd-rw yet.

RE: Opinions on the Pioneer 3100
I have a pioneer 3100 and also sky+ - can anyone tell me how to get the best picture quality as the picture is good when recording to dvd but not quite as sharp as originial. I have a scarts going through tv - dvd - sky+ box. I have set the dvd recorder up as follows - video out - av1 - set to rgb, video out - av2 - set to decoder. these are the setting that the manual recommends - when i change the video out to s-video the picture goes to black and white. can anyone advise.
RE: Blank Dvd-r discs for the Panasonic Dvr-3100
I have just bought a pioneer 3100 and am generally happy with the recorder. i also bought Blue Bulkpaq drd-rw discs and have had major problems getting them to work - so far out of 25 i have managed to get 2 to work. can anyone tell me - do dvd-r discs give as many problems - and what brand would be recommended - i was also looking at datasafe and ritek but am reluctant to buy them if i am going to have the same problems
