RE: Scart vs S-video??

Gold doesn`t oxidise. Aluminium covers itself with a thin layer of oxide and this is not conductive. Steel is the same, and iron oxide is well known as rust. You can see it when it gets very thick.
Therefore gold is best, but the socket on the player is unlikely to be gold plated unless it`s an expensive one, so you won`t get perfection.
I WOULD use gold plated leads though.

Slideshow on Yamaha DVDs530

OK guys, I`ve been using S-VHS and PCs for years.

I`ve tried burning a V-CD via Nero 6 but the Yamaha DVDS530 will have none of it. I press "play" and the display changes from "Play" to 1----

What am I doing wrong?

Is it possible to burn JPegs to CD and play them on the Yam?

Nero said "produce a V-CD that will play on most DVD players. When I said this to a guy at Curry`s he started rambling about +R, -R and DVD RAM. I thought this only applied to MPegs, not JPegs.

I`m using an ordinary CDR disc, not a CDRW and Nero says everything was burnt OK, but the Yamaha will have none of it.

Help!!!!
