Your TV is evidently not capable of displaying NTSC colour information. To remedy this do the following:

Switch unit to standby
Press "System Setup"
Press "right" directional button until you get to "TV Standard"
Press "enter"
Press "right" directional button to scroll through the choices "Auto" "NTSC" "PAL".
When you get to "PAL" press enter - "PAL" will flash
Press enter again.
This should solve your problem by transcoding the NTSC to PAL standard. It`s not as good as displaying pure NTSC (some jerkines can be apparent on panning shots) but you`ll get colour.
