this should work

turn on tv
press tv/av/dvd twice to get dvd on screen
open tray
press stop
press 1 9 9 9
you should see a new menu appear
choose your region
close tray

you could try this it might work

power on with no disc in dvd
wait for no disc display
press pause and enter
press 3 1 4 1 5 9
the word COdE or FF should appear on the display
enter 0 for all regions
press pause
press power off
wait 30 seconds then try any dvd

if this does not work you could try
pressing stop before you enter the above code

try this
press dvd function on your tv set
press dvd setup on your remote control
press 1 3 6 9
immediately press the left arrow button 3 times
immediately press the right arrow button
the screen should now show VERSION
select this and change the region to 0 for multi-region

if no good then try this
press dvd on tv set
press setup on tv set
press 1 9 9 9 on your remote control
you should now see a secret menu
change to 0 for mult-region

I HAVE LOOKED EVERYWHERE FOR THIS HACK AND ALL BUSH DVDS SEEM TO HAVE A NUMBER LIKE 2000 2003 2004 OR SOMETHING LIKE THIS DOUBLE CHECK YOUR MODEL NUMBER AND I WILL CHECK AGAIN FOR YOU

surround sound for dvd player???

Could anyone tell me if the schnieder 857 dvd can use 5.1 surround sound speakers???
and if so how would you link it up to the dvd player?? also how would you set up the speakers in the settings menu on the dvd?? can anyone tell me as i have just bought a 5.1 surround sound system and i am having trouble setting it up??
