I assume you are trying to play VCD and/or SVCD copies of DVD - if so then; switch on DVD - open tray - with tray open type 2812 then press ENTER on the remote - you should see hidden menu - insert VCD and MANUALLY close the tray (ie push it by hand !) - wait for the STOP icon to appear top left of screen (square block) - press PLAY and away you go ! (If VCD doesn`t start press MENU then PLAY)
