RE: Panasonic DMR E20

I have also been looking for a way of making a pansonic DVD multi-region, have read that Panasonic`s along with sony`s are generally not hackable using a code from the handset.

I`m looking at using coded remote available from DVD chips d*******.co.uk you could give them a try (replyed to my email within an hour!).

If i`m talking bo11ocks someone correct me please!

TV/DVD/Satalite Set-Up Problems -any help please-

I Have recently purchased a Home theatre Kit/DVD combo (Panasonic SC HT500). Got Home and in the usual Haste set things up. Connected my new DVD up in place of the old one leaving the Sky box plugged into the TV AV1 as it was b4. Things worked fine, Set the DVD to S-video for AV2S on the TV (Panasonic Tx something) to get a better picture. All OK. Then I had the great Idea of swapping the DVD/home theatre kit into AV1 and Sky to AV2 so that I could improve the picture quality even more by using the RGB scart. DVD and TV both worked fine, However when the TV is switched to Sky (now AV2) I'm unable to obtain sound from the Home theatre system. Both Scart Sockets on the TV are stated as being Audio/Video IN/OUT.

Why I am I unable to get sound from the Sky unit to the Home theatre kit when connected to AV1 when it works fine when connected to AV2? - I know I could connect sky to the Aux input of the Home theatre/DVD but the button presses involved would get my already technophobic girlfriend even more confused.

Am I missing something, just being a bit Dim or what. Answers on the forum please, or email sekliw.a.m[at]ten.egnaro

All suggestions welcome

Thanks in advance

Mark

Panasonic SC HT500

I have recently purchased a Panasonic SC HT500 Home theatre/DVD combo. I was hoping to get this made multi-region by my local Pansonic/Technics dealer. Unfortunately they are unable to do this for me. Looking on the wonders of the Internet I have found Two Options:

1. Techtronics offer an upgrade involving an internal Modification - Costly and Time consuming since they will not offer a home kit and need the unit shipped to them.
2. DVD Chips offer an upgrade using a coded remote available from them. This is cheaper and can be done in minutes once you receive the remote.

Has anyone used either of the above solutions on the SC HT500 and what are the results? :/

Cheers
