RE: Ooh, Miss Jones/ Dont wake Spooner...
There is speculation that the boxset was withdrawn due to the episode "Stand Up And Be Counted" containing libellous material. The set was exclusive to Whsmiths, and they have now removed any mention of it from their website so it cannot be obtained that way.As for the high street it`s possible some stores will still have it,like the one in Aberdeen that another forum member said had loads of them.My local store (Yarmouth) no longer have the boxset in stock.Hopefully somebody who knows more about this will help clear up the confusion.
RE: I HATE Paramount!
You are right to hate Paramount,as their dvd`s are,on the whole, woefullly devoid of extras.Plus they refuse to release anything unrated, which is why the friday the 13th series (from 2 - 8) are terribly censored, along with "My Bloody Valentine".
Recently Kelsey Grammer had to step in to ensure the "Frasier" boxset contained a few extras,as Paramount were going to do their usual stellar job of bare bones releasing.Dvd extras are a big selling point which Paramount need to take onboard.Maybe the recent Jones Trilogy is a sign of things to come.
RE: Rising Damp - The Complete Works (Incomplete)
It`s still worth getting hold of though as it has been withdrawn from sale and is now unavailable.I do not know why this boxset has been deleted after only a few days on sale, maybe there was a rights issue or something.I managed to pick one up from WHSmiths, even after it had been taken off the shelf,as they had not sent them back yet.

The above link has very few details, but verifies that the dvd boxset has been deleted.Smiths website has also stopped selling it so if you want to pick one up get down to your local store fast,as they may still have some in.
