Gav,

I`ve just sent you an e-mail to support your claim.
I, too have been scammed, but have had a refund from VISA.

Good luck!

The Ploughman`s Lunch

Does anyone have any idea how to find out whether and when the excellent film, "The Ploughman`s Lunch" (Richard Eyre, 1985) might be coming out on DVD?

It is currently unavailable on VHS -- is that a good sign?

Thanks!
Peter

RE: "Homicide Life on the Street"

You can probably find it at a reasonable price from an amazon.com marketplace seller, although some won`t do international shipping.

Streching picture on Sony TV to accomodate DVD

Hi,

Does anyone have any idea how to stretch the picture on a Sony KV-X2563E TV?
The picture from my Pioneer DV-464 is slightly off-centre (to the left).

Any websites that might help?
Can an engineer do anything about it?

Thanks,
Peter

"Homicide Life on the Street"

Has anybody viewed "Homicide Life on the Street - Seasons 1 & 2", region 1 on a multi-region DVD player in the UK? Any comment? Satisfied? Recommended?
Thanks!

DVD picture off-centre

I live in Britain, and have a new Pioneer DV-464 multiregion player, linked up to a Sony KV-X2563E TV, which is about 11 years old. Regions 1 & 2 play absolutely fine and picture quality is brilliant.
However, I`ve noticed that the picture is slightly off-centre, maybe 1-2 centimetres to the left. This is not noticeable when watching films, but when I have the DVD menu up, the first letter of some words on the left-hand side of the screen are not visible.
Is there any remedy for this? And has anyone else noticed this?
Thanks!
Peter

Acoustic Solutions DVD421

Hi,

Does anyone know whether the multi-region hack for the Acoustic Solutions DVD421 works if it is adevrtised as Region 2, or does it have to be advertised by the seller as multi-region? Price difference is £30!!!
