RE: Xbox Package back on sale in Argos - this time £99.99

Hi Everyone,
I reserved an extra bundle at Farnham, if anyone is interested. It will be held until Wednesday evening.
Tom

RE: pay asyou go phone and £5 credit for 19.99

If you have registered with VirginMobile and you have a spare SIM you can get the Siemens A65 (triband) phone for £19.99 including a £10 airtime voucher. This includes free next day delivery and has got to be one of the best Pay as you Go deals around. Experienced Bargain Bucket devotees will have picked up free virgin SIMs in the past as they occasionally come up in the forum.

RE: 26 piece pc tool set for £1

I`ve signed up too. Thanks to the OP. I tried the Autoexpress offer last year and cancelled before the last two (of six) magazines arrived saying to the operator that I was bored with it already (which I was!). :)

RE: Cheap Play Equipment at B&Q

I received the football table on Friday and after worrying because I couldn`t find the assembly instructions put it together in an hour or so. It has been great fun for the whole family so I wanted to add my thanks to the original poster.

RE: Free £25 - similar to free £5 cyberslotz deal

I would avoid this like the plague. Spread betting is not for the faint-hearted because you can lose much more than your stake. I tried the example of 4 football bets with a total bet of £90 and lost about £1500!!!! I may not know that much about football but I`m not a soccer dunce so that indicates how risky this enterprise is. If it sounds too good to be true then it probably is!

RE: Star Wars trilogy - £14.99

Hi PlanetPatrol
I live in Basingstoke but work in Hook, Farnham was the only store locally with stock when I found out about the offer yesterday. The Manager`s name is Ben, I think.

RE: Star Wars trilogy - £14.99

Picked my reserved copy up from Farnham for £14.99. Manager says website is a mistake - should have been £23.99 but store managers have discretion to charge £14.99 if they want to avoid the aggro (remember store price on the day applies). He said they had about 30 in stock before the incorrect price was published yesterday and they were all reserved in about 5 minutes!

Thanks to original poster.

RE: Free £5 :D

Sorry to be a wet blanket Davey12, I`m just a bit risk averse and wanted to cover every eventuality with the one bet. I`m not really into gambling unless its a dead cert!

RE: Free £5 :D

I have just tried this. To avoid the risk of 0 coming up in Roulette, I suggest betting 40p on zero (wins £14.00) and £4.80 each on Red and Black (either returns £9.60). This way you get at least £9.60 back (£4.60 for free) and could win more. Also you should play on the free system with funny money to get the hang of it before setting up a cash account.

Enjoy.

RE: Another mispriced woolworths bargain?

I think that the picture refers to this

http://www.tesco.com/electrical/product.aspx?R=8170081&bci=309¦Gaming*4294966753¦Game%20Cube

Slightly more expensive at £105.97 in Tesco

RE: Devoteddvd.com.au

I recently bought Babylon 5 series 3 from this company. Service was pretty quick since it had to travel halfway around the world. Card not debited until goods despatched. Value on customs label was about half the actual cost, so no duty to pay.

RE: spaced 2 £2.99

Now £16.99 I`m afraid.

RE: Expresso Maker

I was looking at the Krups Vivo which has one or two nozzles so that you can make two cups at the same time. This costs about £80. The Woolies espresso maker is more rectangular in shape and chrome rather than black plastic but has 15 bar pressure and a 1.2 litre water tank and a steamer for frothing milk like the Krups.

RE: Expresso Maker

I have just bought one of these! Looks pretty good but it isn`t like the £80 Krups one that I was considering. It is a Woolies own brand (Elevation) and reduced from £35 to £30 so not that much of a bargain except when compared with brand name espresso machines.

RE: Cheap Pioneer 107

Don`t you mean www.blankdiscshop.co.uk, galaxy? Thanks for the pointer!

RE: CDwow.................Still seems cheap to me

I`m afraid that the Hong Kong site has the surcharge too. HK$ 28.50 (about £2.03) will be added to each album delivered to UK addresses. What a shame!

RE: Cheap International Calls (PAYG, No PrePay, use at work, home or mobile!)

Sounds like the same deal that I have with NTL. We usually go over the £15 call allowance so calls to 0870 numbers etc would not be free in my case.

RE: Free Sony CD walkman at Viking

No, there is no anti-shock and it`s quite sensitive. Not really "portable" at all. Still, it sounds OK and might be OK for the car but I wouldn`t take it jogging :) !

RE: Free Sony CD walkman at Viking

CD player arrived today. It is a "Coby" made in China. It`s pretty cheap but has Dynamic Bass Boost and is cable of charging Ni-cad batteries internally (no batteries or charger supplied). Probably worth about £10?

RE: Free Sony CD walkman at Viking

I have ordered the tape. Scotch magic tape is very good (I usually buy it from Staples) so I will use it anyway. Does it matter if it isn`t a Sony, it is free after all? :)

RE: Tchibo speakers and dolby decoder

Try http://www.tchibo.co.uk and then search for dolby. Results show speakers and decoder or a DVD player.

RE: Panasonic SCDT 100

Try the Tchibo speakers and dolby decoder (search their website for Dolby). This is only £80 and looks pretty good to me. I have asked them the confirm that it will work with a DVD player with a co-axial 5.1 output. Once they have done so I`ll be placing an order.

RE: £50 cashback on a new Samsung

If you are already a virginmobile customer (i.e. you have a SIM), you can get the phone for £69.99. They are offering £10 of calls at the moment so, with the £50 cash-back you can get the price down to £9.99. I can`t see where the other £5 comes from but £9.99 for a colour phone (even with somewhat mixed reviews on ciao and dooyoo) must be a bargain!

RE: rocco dts dd5.1 kit @ £99 maplins

Tchibo have a system for £80 which seems good value for money. It includes the decoder and remote control and two co-ax connections.

RE: Silver PS2 £125 at amazon.co.uk incl p&p.

Actually this price is for the black one. Amazon are out of stock of the silver PS2 and it costs £135 or £145 depending on whether you go by price comparison sites or Amazon themselves.

RE: £3 Voucher off Blackstar with Tiscali

I know most people probably have it but I ordered Titanic for £1.99.

Great value and an excellent spot. :)

RE: PS2 Package at Argos

Everyone,
I reserved these items on the website yesterday to collect at my local store but I don`t think I`ll bother now. Argos have updated their website overnight to state that each of these offers cannot be used with any other PS/2 offer. They`ve wised up so I think that we are all out of luck now. Well done to the guys that got in quickly!

I intend to live for ever. So far, so good....
