LATEST CAMBRIDGE AUDIO DVD 53, 55 & 57 VCD HACK !!!
MY FRIENDS HAVE CAMBRIDGE DVD 55`s AND 57`s - I FOUND THE OLD HACK NO LONGER WORKS BUT I DID HAVE SUCCESS WITH THE FOLLOWING:
**NEW HACK***
1. Press the 'Setup' button to enter the 'Setup' Menu.
2. Move the cursor to the 'Speaker Setup' page.
3. Press 9,2,1,0 in sequence to enter version page.
4. Select "Support mode on".
5. Power player 'OFF' then 'ON' again.
6. Upgrade completed.
THIS IS THE OLD HACK:
1. Press the 'Setup' button to enter the 'Setup' Menu.
2. Press 9,2,1,0 in sequence to enter version page.
3. Select "Support mode on".
4. Power player 'OFF' then 'ON' again.
5. Upgrade completed.

hello there,
im glad you have solved youre issue with the Cambridge player... a lot to learn from this experience !?!
To clear things up a little:
*The player isnt `Chipped` as such - no dodgy workings, just a remote hack.
* RGB is the answer - check youre settings
* If i were you, next time you have a problem contact the supplier first - much quicker. If you purchased it from Richer Sounds - go seem them, ive never had a problem that couldnt be solved by a simple phone call or visit.

CAMBRIDGE AUDIO 50 SERIES VCD REMOTE HACK/UPGRADE
1. Press setup button to enter Setup Menu;
2. Press 9,2, 1,0 in sequence to enter version page;
3. Select "support mode" item and select "on";
4. Exit Setup menu;
5. Switch off, and then re-start;
6. Upgrading done.
