My local Tesco has the 4.5" ALBA branded portable DVD player (exactly the same as my Venturer player) for £79.99.

There were loads on the shelf, but tucked away at the back of the store.

Don`t panic CraigAFC - this will play in your region 2 player.

I have had region 4 "24" and "Sopranos" boxsets from these guys before and they have worked without any problems in my region 2 player.

Apart from the pretty naff packaging, this is a tremendous bargain.

Recieved mine today.

This is exceptional value for money! ;)

Very good clear picture although a wee bit on the small side. Good clear sound (much better with the headphones on).

So far it has played a DVD+R, DVD-R, region 2 & 3, CD, CD-R, MP3, JPEG as promissed. I will try it as a standalone player with my 32" TV later.

I would highly advise ordering the carry case that allows you to mount the player on a car headrest.

I`m a happy bunny with this deal! 8)

Just ordered Sopranos season one on DVD for £32.99 on CD-wow.

It would apear to be a new boxset (not due out until August 1st).

I think this is a great deal as it has six discs, but has anyone bought it cheaper?
