Philips 880 hack using standard remote?

Does anyone know how to get multi region to work using the standard Philips remote. I have tried 121 212 005 255 but that hasnt worked. Surely I dont have to buy another remote??

There seems to be loads of different stories about people using all three codes (.......001 ......002 .....255) and then it working, nobody seems to know why though. Can anyone clarfiy (this didnt work for me either)?

To be able to play region 2 again follow the same procedure but end your code with 002 (region 2). This will enable you to play region 2 again, however, I dont know how to make the player multi region using standard remote? hope this helps.
