it doesn`t need to be chipped, you have been listening to too many dvd `chip` shops if you believe that. The remote works and is really simple to use. I was fortunate and got hold of one for free, and to be honest, how these shops can warrant charging 40-80 pounds for the remote (or even lie to you and say they have put a chip inside) for 2 minutes work is unbelievable.
I just wish I had explored the engineers options before i used the remote, to see if you really needed this `remote`, because after pressing two buttons it was done !!!! As it is now multi-regional, I aint going to mess around with the options.........
Maybe have a look, press the stop and function button down on the unit and turn the volume nob up, hey presto. (remember you have to unplug the unit before changes take effect).
