RE: Region 1 Shrek and LG3350E

Thanks Sanejo, I`ll give it a try. I`ve also e-mailed LG about the problem. I`ll post here if they respond

RE: playitmovies.com

oops, didn`t realise I was breaking the rools!

RE: playitmovies.com

I bought The Emperor`s New Groove from them -Region 0 on the packaging. It came in a clear PVC slip case complete with glossy paper cover. Couldn`t fault the quality of the DVD though.
Cost: £9
They have a link on their site to new movies such as Monsters Inc. and Harry Potter available now on DVD!!!
Eye patches and gangplanks spring to mind

Region 1 Shrek and LG3350E

Anybody had problems playing Disk 1 with this machine. Trying to establish if the disk is faulty or the player. It plays the Dreamworks intro sequence then dies on me. Funnily enough Disk 2 is fine!

RE: DVDIMPORT- which dvd arrived ???

Pre-ordered Shrek, got it a couple of days ago (although Disk1 is faulty!) Buggered if I`m going to ship it back to Quebec. Knowing their CS, I`ll never see it again

RE: Where is best place to buy RGB SCART?

B-Tech X Range are very good from beyondhifi.com as mentioned above. Good price too.
You could always take a subscription ( £32 a year or £6.99 a quarter) out to What Video and TV magazine- you get a free Vivanco Pro-wire 1.5m scart-scart lead!!

RE: Shrek- £11.35!!! incl. delivery

Can always cancel if it turns out to be a 1 disc version (although I doubt it is- no mention of this available anywhere else)
I`m sure they`ll post details soon

RE: Shrek- £11.35!!! incl. delivery

I probably should have been more prudent and waited. I guess I can always cancel if it turns out to be a 1 disc version. Bloody cheap though

Can I use Active Speakers?

Is it possible to hook up any (eg Logitech Soundman X10 or X20, Labtec Spin70) active PC speakers to the LG3350E to enable Dolby Digital sound output? Any help appreciated

Shrek- £11.35!!! incl. delivery

Just ordered this from www.devoted.com.au
Can`t confirm if it`s a 2 disc set though. They also charge your credit card straight away on pre-orders. (cheek) This is their reason for this:

All orders are charged as they come in;
This ensures you against exchange rate fluctuations and guarantees early
reception (shipped as the stock comes in... often a week before street date

RE: Rent as many DVD`s as you want for £15 a month!!

Region 2 movies only. The only drawback is they only supply movies that have been on retail sell through release. Hence a lot of the movies are stated as "coming soon" So their list won`t be as good as say Blockbusters for new films. However they are starting to stock second hand movies that have been on the rental market.
The year subs. sounds interesting though

Clatys

if you were a moderator of any distinction, you would ban this tosspot from the Forums. May`be his Mum will take him away on holiday soon

RE: in-movies.com anybody used them?

umern
Do in-movies manage to supply you with all the movies you want- eg do you find you`re on a waiting list for the most popular new releases and end up with titles further down your list?
I must admit I`m tempted by this- £15 a month seems pretty good.
Can`t find any mention of a free DVD on the site for new subscribers though!?

Rent as many DVD`s as you want for £15 a month!!

Here at www.in-movies.co.uk/dvd/main.php
Has anyone tried these people? I wondered if it was worthwhile. At face value it sounds pretty good. You compile a list of up to 50 films. They despatch 3. When watched one, pop it in the post and the next one on your list is sent to you. Minimum subscription is for 3 months (ie £45) You can also keep the films as long as you want
