RE: PHILLIPS DVDR75

Can you share this information with us please.

RE: Philips DVDR70 Region 1 hack needed. (Don`t understand Philips DVD-750 instructions)

Thanks for the suggestion, but I`m actually replacing a half decent multiregion player with this Philips. There`s no room for 2 units - so I need to get it hacked somehow.

Philips DVDR70 Region 1 hack needed. (Don`t understand Philips DVD-750 instructions)

I have tried to use the dvd-750 instructions to hack my new DVDR70, but I can`t get it to work with my Kameleon One-For-All remote.
I`ve tried to set the 0539 code to a function (CD player) and then `Magic` and press 085, but the player ignores me. I`m not sure the instructions are explicit enough though, and I`m missing a step.
If anyone has managed to get it working (using the instructions part pasted below) I`d appreciate some pointers.

Thanks

you will have to send the infra-red code RC6 (aka Codeset 4, Key 235 in nerd-speak) to your player with a OneForAll remote such as the OneForAll 6 (or URC7560) or OneForAll 4 Digital with the following instructions:

* Configure your remote using the setup code 0539
* Press the Magic button
* Enter the code 085

Multi Region hack for DVDR890?

Hi

I`m looking at buying a Philips DVDR880 or 890 and would appreciate any advice. I have seen other threads saying they are cheapest at Richer Sounds, but the price seems to have gone UP since that post in November !

I would like Multiregion, but if I bought from John Lewis, can it be hacked to play Region 1.

Any other advice (like cheapest media) also gratefully received.

Thanks

Stuka
