Welltech 20654 Region hack

I tried the "Not a hack more a fiddle" for the Welltech 20654 posted by Crackerjack, after several trys, got it to work but you do have to hold the play button down on the second press and be quick opening the lid!!
The menu layout looks similar to the Compacks and will try the same hack when I get time. Have you found anything new Crackerjack??

Try pressing GOTO repeatedly until you see VCD _._._._ enter where ever you want to go to. ENJOY!! Don`t forget to put the VCD disc in first.

MAXIM11-20 from Safeway

My local Safeway have these in stock now instead of the Compacks.
Does anyone know if they have sorted out the AV sync problem? It says on the box they play VCDs and SVCD.
And is there a region hack for it?

You are not alone, my unit won`t play VCDs either, and as I wanted it to play Karaoke VCDs I think i`ll be taking mine back as well. I tried Emailing them this afternoon but as of yet had no reply. It also tends to skip some of my Jpeg photos??

Sorted!! Kind person said where to get the VCD hack in "bargain buckets"Forum.

I also bought one from Safeway this morning and noticed it did not play my VCD`s DVD, DVD-R, SVCD, CD, CDG and Jpeg are all fine. I wanted it to play Karaoke VCD`s

The VCD Enable hack works, and will try the region tomorrow!
Tried the region hack and it works. What next? Macro??

Radio mic, this mic worked fine in Karaoke machine but buzzes in the compacks, tried retuning the receiver to no avail, also notice interference when ariel is attached to tv (shadows across screen). any ideas??

The thread for this player seems to be drying up. When I pressed "title 12345" as sugested, Up came "Version 6301-E-1". Can anyone help, who is this unit made by, is it a clone??.

Bought this DVD player on Thursday from Lidl, seemed a good buy at £69 as I was looking for a machine with JPeg. Does anyone know if there is a hack for it or if it is a clone??.
