RE: Splash Dvd any good ?

They`re just lucky i`m doing coursework and can`t watch anything till after the 19th anyway :(. After reading some of the posts i`m shocked at how long peopl`ve been waiting

RE: Thinking of buying from Splashdvd?.......BE WARNED!!

Packaging from April 30th :S Can`t....Open......The....Jiffy.....Bag

Time to go to the gym guys if you can`t open the bags ;)

RE: Anyone used store4dvd?

Ordered 29th April, Sent 7th April, though this was due to them (i guess) waiting for an out of stock title before sending the lot off.

Edit:- Well, out of the big order for my fiance and I (£390 total but saved a couple of hundred)

Argos delivered in the next day and didn`t charge for postage (title was in stock)
CD Wow delivered two in stock items within 2 days
Splash sent all 6 dvds on the 29th April and i`m still waiting for 5 of them.
Play - having trouble opening jiffies since the 29th
Store4 - Took till today to send, but to their credit, they were waiting for an item to come in stock (but aren`t they supposed to send in stock items off regardless?)

Edit:- 8/5/2003 - Ok well basically Splash said they`ll resend all the others in the next couple of days (?) and Play are going to re-send them if they don`t arrive by Monday :S

RE: Whats Going On At Play

Apparently some error on their system occurred a few days back, and they`re still fixing the problem. They said the order should be shipped within 24 hours from now. Waiting since Saturday? :S

RE: Whats Going On At Play

Same here. They seem to have a problem with some CC, but other companies don`t at all.

RE: Splash Dvd any good ?

I placed an order on Tuesday, and received a message that it had been dispatched 2 hours after the order was placed, which is pretty good :-)

RE: Anyone used store4dvd?

I Have. Although i was disappointed that no contact number was available. I placed an order on Tuesday about 3pm and it`s still being processed. Trying to find a number for them (their Returns dept is just a Mailbox, so hopefully the company that runs that will have a contact number).

Edit:-

Their site is registered at:-

http://www.mbe.uk.com/002/

Mailbox ETC

although they unfortunately can`t give a contact number out. Maybe this info`ll help somebody? :S

Alba 114 Engineer`s Menu?

Hi

I`d like to tinker about with settings (well it`s in my nature to be curious) on this particular player. Has it been listed anywhere about how to bring up the Engineer`s Menu?

Ta

RE: Mirror DVD player for £69.99 at staples

Will this play (here we go)

vcd, svcd (subs,tracks),xvcd,xsvcd,dvdr,dvdrw,dvd+r,dvd+rw,mp3,macrovision off, can play rce discs, multi region

Phew

Actually i honestly think that hsould be a standard for players to live up to

Really Simple Question

Ok how hard can it be? :S

Please please help with this one as it`s driving me nuts

All i need is a dvd player (preferably budget) that will play

VCD, SVCD (sub, tracks) XVCD, XSVCD, DVD (obviously :P), DVD-R,DVD-RW,DVD+R,DVD+RW, MP3
Disable Macrovision, multi-regional, can play rce discs,

That`s it really :-)

Has anybody got any recommendations for a player that has little or no problems that is actually still available please?

If not the manufacturers need a good slapping and should produce a player which can play all those formats.

Cheers
