RE: Sky+ £49 with refurbed box

Seen this post the other day and went for it, sky+ installed today, lovely jubilee. ;)

However, the engineer when fitting it told me that at Christmas, Sky are slashing the prices for new customers to £49 for a new box and reducing the bigger size hard-drive (or whatever it`s called) from £299 to £199.

He said that I should have waited, cancelled my subscription in my name as I have had Sky for about 5 years, then have the wife re-apply for Sky+ and get a new box instead for £49.

Anyway, as long as this box lasts the distance, I`ll be more than happy, cos it`s super, smashing, great gadge!!!!

RE: Important info on LG 32" tv from Hienergy

I have the 28" version and have the following problems, can anyone tell me if they are just general problems or is my set naff.

When I turn the tv on it is in standby mode, and if you press the green button on the tv remote it does not come on, you have to press a channel button to get it to switch itself on.

Also, has anyone been able to tune in the sky remote, if so, can you let mem know the code.

Totally agree with you pieman, just bought a playstation 2 from toysrus, £259, 5 games, extra controller, and the base unit.

Delivered with 5 days.

Today - I received Full Monty, postal address correct but incorrect name.

Back to the codes for sky remote again.

I have now rang LG Customer services, and they told me to try BEKO codes, tried them no good.

Went back to them, they gave me a further three codes, 065, 0056 & 0081.

All no good.

Please please please can somebody tell me if they have managed to program the sky remote.

I`m going crazy!!

Sorry for draggin this one back up - but has anybody managed to tune there sky remote control into this tv. If so, what was the code?

I rang Sky TV, they gave me about 10 codes to try - no good.

You can also get a region 1, (2 disc) set from DVD Import - works out about £13.28 with free postage, my last delivery had taken about 7-10 days.

Had no customs & excise charge either.
