I too get nothing when I try the `cold start`. I have tried with the stop and play buttons on the remote and on the front of the unit itself. I have tried from when the machine is off, and when it is already in DVD mode, but with no disks in.

If other people are able to do it, there must be either a different firmware version in our machines, or defect with our remotes.

If anyone could clarify the EXACT conditions necessary to install the hack (ie. treat me like a complete novice/idiot/simpleton), a REALLY spell it out for me, that would be greatly appreciated.

Samsung Max 945-D Hi-Fi with integrated DVD

If there is anyone out there who knows if there is a specific hack for this DVD player, or if the 707 or 709 hacks work OK with it, please let me know. Point of interest - this product was bought in France (it was cheaper than UK).
