RE: Philips 750 hack didn`t work for my Philips DVDR 985 :(

this code didn`t work either. I bought a OneForAll 4 digital remote control now to send RC6 codes but the 11 spaces don`t show up when I use the OneForAll. the problem is:

"Sending these codes to some players, such as the Philips DVDR-980, requires you to select a DVD player remote on the unit as the default IR device, as opposed to the DVD recorder remote it is factory set to. Please consult your player documentation to find out how to do this."

my player documentation doesn`t say anything about this.

so do you or anyone else know hot to send the codes to a Philips DVD recorder with the OneForAll?

thanks!

Philips 750 hack didn`t work for my Philips DVDR 985 :(

Hi,

I tried to hack my DVDR 985 using the instructions mentioned here: http://www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/info/multiregion/full/philips750.asp but it didn`t work. I only have the Philips remote control. I pressed "PLAY" and entered "159". then the 11 spaces showed up and I entered the code "121 212 005 255 ", pressed "PLAY" again, powered off my DVD recorder and powered it on after 10 seconds. but it still couldn`t play the region 1 DVD.

did I make any mistakes in trying to hack my player? can anyone help please?

many thanks. :)
