RE: Recording R1 to VHS

For recording R1 to VHS you not only need Macrovision switched off but you need the DVD player to output to PAL50 instead of the PAL60. Not all DVD players have PAL50 and PAL60 output. Most have only PAL60 output.With R2 disks it will work fine with PAL60.
