I`ve got the disc - I downloaded the hack and burnt it and it worked okay. If you want to borrow it, let me know (email me on retawegdirb_luap[at]moc.oohay) and I`ll send you it. I have it on mine - worked fine.

I emailed Tesco`s too - they said that they were still selling them but didn`t know for how long - they gave me details of a couple of stores in London that might have them and so that`s how I got hold of mine.
No - there`s no optical output.

He`s right - you can make it multiregion by pressing
Setup on the remote
play on the panel
stop on the panel
rev on the panel
fwd on the panel
prev on the panel
next on the panel
This should work but if it doesn`t, do just a search through the forum.
As for the CD - you can get the files to upgrade from http://homepage.ntlworld.com/camol121/1010upgrade.zip although I haven`t tried them yet - you`ll need to burn them onto a cd, obviously.

Dansai 1010`s at tescos
Just got one of these fabulous little machines (and it far surpasses my reliable old Wharfedale 750) at Tescos in Brent Park, NorthWest London - if anyone is after one, they have about 50 machines in stock - but I`m told they clear pretty quickly.
Oh and to the user who asked some time ago on this forum whether the Dansai can do RCE discs, the answer is yes.

Which tescos in London area have dansai`s
Desperately trying to get hold of a Dansai 1010 - anyone know any tesco stores in london (pref central or west) that have them?

Problems playing audio CDs and certain discs on Wharfedale 750S
DOn`t know if anyone else has encountered this but here it goes anyway: Been using the old trustworthy Wharfedale for about three years. Everything worked fine for the first two but in the last year, it won`t playing ANY audio CDs at all and certain DVDs - the ones I have that won`t work are:
Our Friends in the North bonus disc (R2)
O Brother Where Art Thou disc 2 (R2)
Down by the Mountain (R2)
As with the audio CDs, it refuses to recognise the disc - the machine whirs for a while then stops and acts like there is no disc in the machine.
Apart from that, the machine is fabulous - never had any R1 compatibility problems and no b/w or flickering. But I`m wondering if other things will start to go as the machine gets older.
Would appreciate anyone`s help on this. I have a friend who has the same problem on the Wharfedale 750.
