RE: JVC XV-S302, remote hack, help appreciated

I discovered the same but there seemed to be an underlying pattern.

I started by pressing 5 then repeatedly pressed 9 which caused the first set of four digits to increment by 1 between hex values 70 and FF. The second set of four digits remain mostly 0000 but every so often they change to:
00B0 00C8
00B2 FF37
00B9 0602
00BA 050E
00BB 0500
00BC 00FF
00BD B892
00BE 0001
00BF 0302
00C0 010B
00C1 0003
00C2 00FF
00C3 B698

The link between the first and second set of four digits is not fixed but the pattern in the second column remains intact.
Anyone clever enough to work out the significance of all this?
