JVC XV-S302, remote hack, help appreciated

This is how far I´ve gotten:

Unplug.
Hold down open/close and play.
Plug.
Release open/close and play.
Press menu.
Press 9.

What I get then is a screen which reads 0070 FFFF.
The numbers can be changed by clicking on 9 again, but I haven´t got a clue on what they mean and what happens after that.
