RE: i need a really good dvd player that plays everything!!

Just make sure you get two things.

A DVD Player that has a Scart socket, which supports RGB. The picture quality is much better.

If your TV doesn`t have a good sound, then an on-board Dolby Digital 5.1 Decoder is another thing you may regret not having.

Obviously it should play everything, but these two extras are a big plus.

RE: urgent help needed - best dvd player for around £100

CyberHome at £99 at Richer Sounds, Multi-Region, DD Decorder and looks big and dominant (if your Dad likes taht sort of thing).

Oh and also it plays all sort of VCDs as well.

RE: Looking to buy home theatre system for between £200-£300. Any recommendations?

Cyberhome - RicherSounds - £100
VideoLogic - Argos - £70 approx

Has VCD, DD Decorder, Multi-Region....

Read reviews as VCDHelp etc...

I am happy with mine!

RE: Out of the box solution for £300

Cyberhome DVD player (with built-in DD decorder) for £100 from Richer Sounds. (VCDHelp has lots of reviews + dedicated Website by some German dood in English)!

Argos does these VideoLogic Speakers and Subwoofer for around £70 pounds. Very highly recommended.

I have both; No complains, but can`t remember the last time I played anything on them! Still good though (as far as I can remember).

Hope it helps.

Anyone can recommend a top Quality DVD player for under £200, please!

Hi,

I have a Limit 9090 DVD player, bought last month and is ready to be binned/returned.

I was looking at alternatives and I have the following requirements;

Multi-region
On board Dolby digital decorder
RGB output (This is a must have).
Plays all sort of VCDs/SVCDs as well as DVDs (MP3s is a bonus).
EXCELLENT PICTURE AND AUDIO Quality

I am thinking of the Sony DVPNS700. Has anyone had any good/bad experiences with this (Does it have RGB output and MP3 playback).

Also Technika 512 seems to have good reviews. Has it got the picture/sound quality to match some of the top brands.

Can anyone help, please!

RE: Limit DVD9090

Hi,
I also bought the Limit DVD9090 from RicherSounds. I tried around 3 VCDs and also get the same problem. I thought it was my cheap VCDs, but apparently it seems like a common problem.
I used a Scart Lead to Connect to the TV & from the Manual I found out the Scart Connection does not support RGB, only Composite video. Shame about a model that is priced at £200.
(I don`t know how much you payed for yours, but ComputerShopper magazine has a joint offer with RicherSounds for £100 - Even then I thought it was a bit expensive with the only plus being the dolby decorder and I don`t know how good the quality on that is).

By the way who are Limit and have they got a Web presence.
