RE: Nope ... Doesn`t work

i am using a scart lead (the official sony one)... i think it`s not working because i`m using the Sony Remote Control... and the CD I loaded (which has the Remote Control software on it) updates the DVD player software... which (i`ve read online) clashes with Region X.

Still waiting for tech. support to get back to me, i`m sure there must be a way to fix it,

cheers for the help tho,

Shams

Nope ... Doesn`t work

i`ve tried that but it doesn`t work... i`m using a memory card but it still goes to the "Please Insert a Playstation or Playstation 2 Format Disc" message.

Has anyone else got the message "Please Insert a Playstation or Playstation 2 Format Disc" when using Region X ?

RE: DVD Region X Help Please :o)

yep, i`ve tried the boot with a (empty) memory card... both in slot 1, slot 2, and with controller pad in slot 1 and slot 2...

in all cases the screen goes straight to the "Please Insert a Playstation or Playstation 2 Format Disc" message

??

DVD Region X Help Please :o)

Hi,

I`ve bought a DVD Region X disc for my PS2, but I am having problems loading it.

With the Region X Disc in my PS2, everytime I boot the PS2 up it displays the red message "Please Insert a Playstation or Playstation 2 Format Disc".

No matter what I do I can`t get the disc to load past this message. So I
can`t even get to the bit to view my DVDID and DVDVER codes.

My PS2 has not been modified in any way. However I am using the DVD Player v2.10 from Sony, but I am NOT using the memory card (with the loaded software) nor the infared sensor-plug when trying the DVD Region X.

Please Help!

Thanks,
Shams
